CW Beacon Text
The FT-857/D and FT-897/D transceivers have a feature to enable up to three strings of text to be sent by CW. This can be useful if you are need a simple contest keyer.
To show the beacon text editing screen choose the CW beacon text command from the View command. The following screen is shown
Refer to your operating manual for a full description of the CW beacon text feature of the radio. The usage of the various fields on the screen will then become clear.
